The Northern Colorado IPA (NCIPA) represents 400 health care providers in Northern Colorado and members have access to 20 insurance contracts representing 34 insurance products. Providers have the option of participating in some or all of these contracts. NCIPA has formed an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) that is particpating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program. NCIPA is pursuing other value based contracts with commercial payors.
All of the insurance companies contracted with NCIPA have delegated NCIPA for credentialing. Accordingly, NCIPA adheres to all NCQA and URAC credentialing standards. This eliminates the need for providers to fill out credentialing paperwork for each insurance company individually.
NCIPA facilitates communication between insurance companies and providers through its provider relations staff and by providing forums for insurance companies to present updates and answer questions directly from providers’ offices in a face-to-face setting.
Members of NCIPA have access to educational seminars and updates on our medical community, and the opportunity for office staff and physicians to network and collaborate in forging our future.
NCIPA offers multiple group purchasing programs and discounted services. NCIPA offers group health insurance and a long-term disability policy to our members.
As a service to our providers, members can look up the allowed amount for services by insurance contract. In order to provide this confidential information, NCIPA has developed a new practice section within the Members section on NCIPA’s website. The practice section contains information specific to that practice, and can only be accessed by that practice.
Northern Colorado IPA welcomes physicians and ancillary health care providers (Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Nurse Practitioners to join the NCIPA.
